McDonald’s has been dealing with negative PR for decades. And as the internet and social media have increasingly democratized PR, the company was looking for creative ways to positively impact brand perception and create organic SEO impact.
We developed a series of concepts around the idea of a McDonald's Town Square, where customers would be encouraged to share and celebrate ways the brand positively impacts culture. From the history of the McJingle and the role the brand has played in American road tripping to nostalgic memories tied to pivotal childhood moments at the restaurant, these hubs are designed to collect content that organically generates more positive search results, which in turn, positively impacts the company's reputation.
